- Two logs kept by passenger George J. Townsend in one printed volume, 1847-1848 while on a trading voyage from Boston, Massachusetts to Java, Indonesia. Townsend was a medical doctor aboard the ship GENERAL HARRISON and treated many of the ship's company and passengers for various illnesses on the voyage. He unexpectedly changed to the ship BOMBAY at Anjier in the Sunda Strait and headed for Manila.
