- Logbooks kept by Robert Treat Paine on voyages taken from 1751-1754. Entries note the weather, navigation, and general sailing conditions. Voyages recorded include trading missions from Boston to Cape Hatteras, N.C. and return on the sloop SUCCESS (6 February - 3 July, 1751); Boston to Philadelphia in the brig CHARMING POLLY as a passenger (7-15 September 1751); Boston to North Carolina, Faial Island, Azores, Ca?diz, Spain, and return to Boston in the sloop HANNAH (17 May 1753 - 30 January 1754); Martha's Vineyard to North Carolina in the brig PRIMROSE (9-25 February 1752), and return on the sloop RANGER (11-26 November 1752); and a whaling voyage to Greenland in the sloop SEAFLOWER (6 May - 25 August 1754).
