- Diary of Samuel Cooper Johonnot, kept from 14 November - 9 December 1779, aboard the frigate LA SENSIBLE. Entries note Johonnot's voyage from Boston to Spain, including daily life on board the ship, encounters with other vessels, and the weather. Johonnot also discusses his fellow shipmates, including John Quincy Adams, to whom Johonnot later presented this journal.
