Logbook, 5 October 1854 - 28 May 1857, kept by Lorenzo Baker master of the whaling ship ROMULUS on a voyage from Mystic, Connecticut to the North Pacific. Log includes navigational data, a crew list and wages, a large bookplate on the inside of the front cover, records of whales killed, as well as whale stamps; Logbook, 23 August - 17 December 1859, kept by Lorenzo Baker, master of the merchant ship HOUND on a voyage from the Gulf of California to New York. Log includes navigational data, weather reports, a crew list and their wages, and descriptions of seafaring life; Logbook, 20 April -25 August 1866, kept by Lorenzo Baker, master of the whaling ship CORNELIA on a voyage from New London, Connecticut to Greenland hunting right whales. Log includes navigational data, trading interaction with natives, details of shipboard life, and records of whales killed.
