Journal, 8 June -6 August 1833 kept by supercargo Daniel Sampson, on board the brig TALMA; Captain James L. Lambert. TALMA sailed from Havana to Elsinore with a cargo of sugar and coffee. Sampson writes primarily concerning his homesickness, life in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and of his feeling for 'Kate'. He also details shipboard life, a flogging, quarantine regulations in Denmark, and sailing in company with the brig NEVA, Capt. Welsh.
