Chiefly songs of the indigenous Maya, written from their experiences in the Guatemalan civil war (1960-1996); the first two works are traditional instrumental pieces, the second piece including a spoken statement from the performers on the music and their motivations for performing these songs.
Recorded on site in Nebaj, Guatemala in 2005.
Notes in English and song texts in Spanish and Ixil with English translations inserted in container (28 unnumbered pages).
