Summary:
Two fishermen, a father and a son, live at the base of a lighthouse, next to a beach with a cold wind: the north wind. One morning hundreds of thousands of refugees appear on the beach. The son wants to help them, the father forbids it. But the foreigners have already awakened the call to adventure in the son, who will challenge the authority of the father. Along with them, a mysterious character, The Sand Woman, will reopen the wounds of the past. Tramontana evokes the Spanish exile in 1939, from the point of view of the host country (France). The work, however, resonates in the exiles of the present, based on the most essential conflict: the struggle between selfishness and solidarity, when it is a whole people that needs our help.
