- Summary:
- It has been observed by scientists from all over the world that more and more boys are being born with genital deformities. In addition, there has been a dramatic decline in sperm quality and quantity. These and other alarming symptoms are being attributed to the presence of manmade hormones and environmental contaminants. More and more new chemicals used in making plastics, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals, and additives in food products are threatening us from within. These substances are changing the natural hormone balance in human beings as well as animals. For example, alligators in Florida and fish in Britain are turning out hermaphrodite.Wheel of Hormones visits scientists in various countries and some of the people most severely affected. It reveals disturbing new ways people are being "poisoned" and in situations where they least expect it -- at the dentist, in the kitchen, and in bed.
