Summary:
Photographs of the nine staff members of the Kentucky State Guard appear on page 5, followed by a description of the formation and duties of the Kentucky State Militia on pages 7 - 12. Pages 13 through 17 contains a complete list of officers in the state militia. The day by day operations of the first encampment, namely August 23rd through 30th are detailed following the officers list. Finally, eleven photographs of the encampment are found, capturing views of the eight day event.
