Divided into 49 chapters and covers the years 1862-1865. Covers battles at Forts Henry and Donelson, Shiloh, Vicksburg, and Chattanooga before getting into the march through Georgia. Preface says it is "not intended as a tactical history of the campaign." Blue cloth cover.
