Notes:
Written by Eddy, the chaplain of the regiment. Published by Eddy himself in Philadelphia at 133 Congress Street. Stereotyping by J. Fagan and Son. Printed by Crissy & Markley. A former owner signed the front twice, once in pen and once in pencil. The name is illegible, but it is dated "Phil 1880." On inside front cover there is a glued paper advertisement for the booksellers "Newell, Smith & Co." in Ogdenburgh, New York. Eddy says the book was written "chiefly from a desire to gratify the families and friends of those connected with the 60th Regiment, by placing before them a true account of the varied vicissitudes through which that command has passed." Pebble-grained brown cloth cover, stamped with very faded gilt on spine for the title. Blind stamped leaves on back cover.
