- Summary:
- "The etymology of the word that gives name to multimedia artist Paula Costa's exhibition alludes to our constant physical and mental state. 'Condition of what does not last, of what is unstable', as it is defined, is the core of the work of the carioca artist, which now reverberates through the exhibition space of the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo." (HKB Translation) --Page 3. This second publication of the visual artist from Rio de Janeiro is composed of photos of the works of the exhibition where Paula explores, for the first time, digital immersion technology, augmented reality and vegan leather art. Paula has worked during the last few years with organic matter, the artist sews on fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants, personal stories and memories that form the unusual sculptures and installations, such as the Penetráveis installation, in which the public can walk among flowers, wrapped in their aroma and being touched by petals and wool threads. The inspiration for Paula's art, which transits between permanent supports, such as photography and sculpture, and impermanent, such as site-specific installations and performances. Paula Costa gives voice to the softness of nature using her own body as a vehicle in a video installation created especially for the event'.
