- This book is really an updated version of our 1997 book Cardiopulmonary Physiology in Anesthesia by Levitzky, Hall, and McDonough. It includes other areas of physiology besides cardiovascular and pulmonary, presented for anesthesiology residents and anesthetists and nurse anesthesia students and nurse anesthetists. We have added another major author, Alan D. Kaye, MD, PhD who was head of the Department of Anesthesiology at LSUHSC-NO, but is now vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at LSUHSC-Shreveport, as well as a couple of medical students.
