- Summary:
- Documents problems with sewage disposal in Philadelphia. Depicts broken sewers, open sewers, and refuse. Portrays children playing in sewer water in South Philadelphia. Shows workers at the 700 block of Clearfield Street after a cave-in. Illustrates other cave-ins throughout the city. Includes a view of a man sweeping the gutters in front of his house. Also contains a view from the opeining ceremonies at the treatment plant. Depicts sewer construction at Wingohocking and Frankford Creek. Portrays womens' groups from Burholme and Lawndale demanding better sewer conditions and a city council meeting.
