- Summary:
- Documents the transfer of Byberry Hospital from city to state. Illustrates the unsanitary conditions in the hospital before the takeover, and the results of WPA clean up efforts. Portrays hospital patients, treatment rooms, living quarters, and recreationsl facilities. Also depicts conscientious objectors touring the institution during World War II. Includes views of conscientious objectors picketing in support of a Civilian Public Service strike.
