- Summary:
- Documents prisoners being whipped as punishment for crimes. Includes images taken at correctional facilities in Delaware and Maryland. Portrays a legislator submitting to a lashing to publicize his support for the abolition of whipping in Maryland. Whipping was the traditional punishment for wife beaters in the state.
