- A strip of paper repairing the fold covers the ends of many lines of two of the poems. Ralph Knevet, 1600-1671, poet, was a native of Norfolk, and tutor or chaplain to the family of Sir William Paston of Oxnead Hall, near Norwich. He is probably the same Ralph Knevet who was rector of the nearby parish of Lyng, from 1652 to 1671
- In a single hand, mid-seventeenth century, corrected and so possibly autograph.
