Questions and answers on miscellaneous topics: theology, science, mathematics, medicine, customs, manners, et cetera Includes foreign news; news of the war, exchange, shipping, adverts.; much verse, often ribald. A rival of Dunton's Athenian news (see esp. March 1710 onwards). Attributed by Morgan to Mr Smith, by Graham to Wm Smith the antiquary (although DNB does not associate Brit. Ap. with him); dedication of some later editions. subscribed Marshal Smith; Selections from the British Apollo edition by G.W.
