Summary:
Silent public information film, produced by British Instructional Films Ltd. A sailor seeks treatment for syphilis after reading an advertisement placed in a newspaper by the British Social Hygiene Council, but in spite of paying an expensive specialist for treatment, he is not fully cured. His wife and child are subsequently infected with syphilis, and require treatment. A failure to seek further treatment prior to the birth of their second child leads to him suffering from poor eyesight.
