"This catalogue, one of several planned by the Bangladesh National Museum, contains a representative selection of textile objects in the Bangladesh National Museum. Thought the first textiles were acquired for the Museum only in 1961, today the Department of Ethnography and Decorative Art holds a substantial number of textile objects. Five hundred different objects from this collection have been included in this catalogue.
