- Description: Letters from Stondon men serving in the armed forces, with notes of their addresses, notes of the three men from the village who died, and correspondence regarding the sort of memorial to be erected to them, 1919. Many of the writers refer to their schooldays in Stondon and ask for news of others serving in the army. Includes: 3 letters from Reeve's nephew 'Willie' (May 1916, December 1916, January 1917) and 2 letters from his nephew 'Leonard' (October 1917, February 1919); 2 letters from J H Maynard of Blackmore regarding the death of his brother Ernest (July, August 1917); printed flyer and letters regarding the use of former Church Army Recreation Huts as social centres (January-February 1919); a letter from Reeve to Bugler A Bolt (January 1919, returned March 1919).
