- Description: Cap badge with the twin heads of Mars and Minerva, the gods of war and the arts, designed by W. C. Wyon RA. Shoulder strap title has the words 'T 28 London'.

- There were two patterns to the cap badge. One simply bore the title 'Artists' and was produced in brass, white metal and black. The other one was larger and had the wording 'Artists Rifles' and was produced in brass and white metal. The latter is shown here. This unit later became the SAS.
