Description: Extremely detailed and uncensored diary covering his military service after the armistice, being detained longer on active service due to being a single man, and position on the HQ Staff, RA with the Army of Occupation in Cologne, Germany (April to September 1919) including references to his duties, fraternisation with German civilians, amorous encounters and civilian conditions as well as a description of his demobilisation at the Crystal Palace on 2 September 1919. Also covers his leave periods in England, one due to his sister's illness.
