- Knife form: crude one-piece stabbing weapon fashioned from a steel rod - possibly the upper portions of a screw picket or a section of reinforcing rod from a concrete field work. The 'grip' of the weapon is a simple loop providing loose and unsatisfactory handling and the minimum of protection. The blade is fashioned from beating the forward extension of the rod flat. The end product is a long leaf-shaped double-edged blade with prominent medial rib.
