Description: This botanical and pastoral design was typical of the time. The sauceboat is a soft-paste variety of porcelain and contains a scene of a windmill and a village.
Notes:
Longton Hall produced soft-paste porcelain for around ten years between 1749-1760. Their recipe created heavy but translucent pieces that had many faults in both potting and glazing. The factory was established in Staffordshire by a man named William Littler.
