- Description: A post journal of correspondence to and from Moose Factory to other forts such as Fort York and Fort Albany that includes trading news, hunting expectations and disappointments and trading with indigenous peoples.This post journal is part of a series from Moose Factory that document weather, daily activities, occurrences of note, arrivals and departures of visitors and expeditions into the hinterland. Some journals contain accounts, correspondence, or reports. Post journals were written by the person in charge of each post, or his deputy. They were sent annually to the Governor and Committee in London, and copies were often preserved at the posts.
