Description: British Royal Engineers at work on an ancient stone temple. Three engineers stand on the ground at the foot of a tall ladder, which leads up to a stone platform where three other engineers are removing a more recent German commemorative stone. They have attached a pulley to the top of the platform for when they are ready to move the stone. The composition is framed by two enormous pillars that are part of the temple.
