- Summary:
- Supp text in line with our strategy to publish a select number of high quality and profitable supps on hot and emerging topics as a way to help foster a positive B and M list image and feed SK with more new content; Text includes an array of big name contributors and the editors are based at key schools in key markets of Australia and the Netherlands; Complements our existing book bag in CSR/Business Ethics by focussing on one specfic area within CSR (the existing texts published by both SAGE and our competitors tend to be general); Provides good balance of theory/practice (existing texts tend to be either too academic or practitioner); Employee Engagement is covered as a topic on most CSR/Business Ethics/Sustainability modules averaging 50-100 students per cohort across upper UG/PG/exec education and it is also a popular topic for dissertations; There is additional potential for organic practitioner sales. Reviewers support the proposal that there is a gap in the literature/market for a book on this topic. Overall feedback is positive with sections 2 and 3 reviewing particularly strongly. Other sections require further refinement and we would discuss these with the editors following signature. This is a competetive signing with Springer having already offered the editors a book contract so we are not sharing reviews with the editors until we have a signed contract. Also, this means that we would appreciate a quick response to this proposal please so that a contract can be offered at the earliest opportunity if the project is agreed.
