Summary:
The book covers the history of graffiti in Puerto Rico and the contribution that Puerto Rico has made to the International Graffiti and Hip Hop Movement. A significan number of Puerto Ricans were among the communities where this type of urban art was develop in the city of New York. The Amazing SKE (Eliezer Pagán b. Carolina PR 1971), is one of the pioneers that started in the 1981 the graffiti movement in Puerto Rico in converation with T.KID170, another pioneer, the history before 1981, what was happening in NYC with the diaspora Puerto Ricans artists. Marta Cooper best known for documenting the New York City graffiti scene of the 1970s and 1980s, Belin, Crash One, Eric Orr, 1UP Crew and T.Kid170 present their comments, love, respect and appreciation on his more then 40yrs. painting in and out of Puerto Rico.
