- Summary:
- Through the study of international and national sources, this book deals with cinema as an art, as a business and as one of the greatest entertainments in Colombia -- and the world -- since the beginning of the 20th century. It concentrates on the particular forms through which foreign fictional cinema came to the country, especially Hollywood; and how it readjusted cultural habits and helped to forge new tastes, forms of consumption and ideas of the possible, as constituent elements of the cinematographic experience of viewers in the first decades of the 20th century.
