Anita Shapira writes in the preface to her autobiographical book: "I only knew about myself to tell," but reading the book shows that the one who was able to reveal the lies of the founding fathers and heads of the settlement knows how to tell about a life story that begins with pain and disconnection and ends with glory. About what "happened" to her, she makes sure to tell in a careful and sensitive language, but she only strengthens the canvas. Shapira conquered the readership with the first biography published by Berl. Now, after ten books she has written and after all these years she avoided answering personal questions addressed to her by interviewers from all over, she tells the story of her life, intertwined with the story of the national revival and the most difficult and exciting issues faced by Zionism and the renewed Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel.
