Summary:
Since the signing of the 1996 Peace Accords, the Guatemalan Government has pushed forward a policy to attract transnational extractive companies to indigenous territories in the country. This policy violates the rights of these peoples, who are organizing to defend their lands. This documentary examines community resistance against the transnational companies Guatemala's neoliberal policies. Specifically, it focuses on the people of San Miguel Ixtahuacán, and their resistance against the Canadian multinational, Goldcorp Inc.
