- This 1860 map by Keith Johnston shows Russia from the Gulf of Riga east to the Oka and Don Rivers region and south to the Galicia, Bessarabia and the Black Sea areas. Locates rivers, canals and railways, as well as towns, villages and the military colonies in Kherson. Much of this area was part of the Kingdom of Poland before 1772.
