Summary:
The Washbourne family appears in the records of Evesham as early as 1539. The family included both common people and landed gentry who took their name from the locality, being the village of Washbourne and the Washbourne Hills. Some descendants have dropped the o and e to make the name Washburn. Descendants now live throughout the world.
