Summary:
This book deals with the Babylonian flavor system, which was the accepted and widespread tradition in the communities of Israel until the tenth century, and gradually gave way to the Tabernacle reading. Biblical manuscripts with a Babylonian flavor were kept only by the Jews of Yemen and in the Genizat of Cairo, and so far have not received a full scientific description. The book presents a comprehensive description of the rules of taste in the Babylonian system on all levels, compares them with the rules of the Tabernacle system, and clarifies the stages of development in both systems.
