This collection of genealogical papers was collected by George H. Liebegott from people whose ancestors had at one time lived in Morrison's Cove, Pa. He contacted their descendants and had them furnish all the information they would. He has assembled all this information and arranged the names of the families alphabetically. Many rolls have information that is only miscellaneous and cannot be classified. These rolls are listed in the register as such. The card index listed in part I has the most prominent names listed in alphabetical order and all allied families listed alphabetically under this name. There are a number of publications that have been photographed as part of this collection as well as family histories that have been compiled by members of the family. The books are at the end of the register. They may contain names or information about any one of the families listed alphabetically in the first part of the register. There is a history of Huntington and Hedford counties, Pa., and one of Leitersburg District, Maryland. Also listed in the last five rolls of the collection are some cemetery records, lists of persons in Blair County, membership lists of some church congregations, and an index to By-gone days. This index lists by volumes, the names of the chapters with a short resume in a sentence or two what is contained therein and a mention of the names that are most prominent in that particular chapter. This register contains information from 134 rolls. Only part of these are indexed.
