- The Pennsylvania section includes scenery around Reading, panoramas of Canton and Troy (Bradford County), views of the coal regions, especially Mauch Chunk and the Switchback Railroad, views of Catawissa Creek in Colombia County,and views of the Bethlehem, Erie and Harrisburg areas. This section also includes many views on the Pennsylvania Railroads, including bridges and stations. Philadelphia views include significant buildings: Carpenter's Hall, Girard College, Independence Hall (& the Liberty Bell), the Masonic Temple, the U.S.Mint, miscellaneous churches and cemetaries including Old Christ's Church and Old Swede's Church, and views of miscellaneous other Philadelphia buildings. This section also contains views of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers and bridges, views of Fairmount Park, landscapes, gardens and buildings there, as well as views of the Wissahickon and the Water Works. Views of the Centennial Exhibition, parades and celebrations including the Centennial of the Constitution and the Peace Jubilee, and some miscellaneous street scenes are also included here.
