- Biography/History:
- Price & McLanahan was established in 1903, a partnership that lasted until Price's death in 1916. McLanahan then teamed with Bencker until 1926. Both firms worked on the Traymore Hotel project. The hotel was located at 1711 Boardwalk and S. Illinois Avenue in Atlantic City.
- Summary:
- Contains elevations, floorplans, roof plans, details and sections for the Traymore Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. Includes drawings for the elevator, stores, 1st-14th floors, the American Plan and European Plan dining rooms, the banquet room, cafe, kitchens, laundry rooms, bedrooms, balconies, the dome, beauty salon, music room, the fountain, and the warehouse addition to the garage. Also included are plans for the ash disposal system, plumbing and heating plans and electrical plans. Of note are details for doors and doorways, buttresses, brick and terra cotta work, millwork, columns, cornices and ceiling ornamentation, as well as "developed elevations" of various rooms.
