Summary:

The Philadelphia Award commissioned the Historical Society of Pennsylvania to research and compose a biographical sketch on every winner of the Philadelphia Award, from its beginning in1921 to its 90th anniversary in 2011. The Project, headed by David Haugaard and Lee Arnold, recruited staff and volunteers and created over 100 sketches (and secured images for every Awardee).
