- The Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival (GLTF) began performances in 2003. Co-founded by Matthew Cloran and Bill Esher in 2002, the GLTF offers a comprehensive festival addressing the gay community and utilizing mutiple venues for production. GLTF is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to present theater that affirms and celebrates the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender experience in order to entertain, educate, empower, move and delight; and to give voice to the playwright dedicated to these themes.
