- Summary:
- John Waddington was a Leeds texitile merchant and was engaged in business along the Eastern Seaboard. He emigrated with his wife Sarah, nee Walker, the daughter of Robert Walker and Lydia, nee Brooke, of Honley, Yorkshire, in 1790 to St. John's New Brunswick. The diary covered his trip to the easter coast of the United States from April 12, 1786 to March 10, 1787.
