Summary:
A pair of solar eclipse paper goggles, worn by HSP COO Lee Arnold on August 21, 2017 to view the solar eclipse in Philadelphia (start : 1:21 PM; peak : 2:44 PM; end : 4:01 PM). HSP bought 20 pair of these special viewing glasses so that staff might participate in this exciting event. At the Peak Time, many staff, interns and volunteers crowded on HSP's 3rd floor deck to view the cosmic wonder. It was partly cloudy, but at the exact moment of peakness, the clouds parted and there were oooohs and aaaahs by everyone as they gazed (through protective lenses) at the orange sphere, 76% obscured by the moon.
