Summary:

Edward Sheed Jr., at age 11, was touted as a hero when he turned in his father for recruiting him to participate in drug deals. He was even named "Person of the Year" by the Philadelphia Weekly newspaper. As it turned out, Sheed was not all as he seemed after the praises died down. Psychiatric evaluators referred to him as "manipulative" and "intimidating." He assaulted a case worker and in 2007 was arrested, relating to two robberies at gunpoint. Then at age 23 he was finally convicted, this time of shooting a man in 2011 over a cell phone, leaving him paralyzed. At the sentencing the judge described him as: "A choir boy during trial, a street thug afterward." He received 30-62 years.
