These files contain materials from the records of the Columbia University Research in Contemporary Cultures Projects, a complete set of which is in the Margaret Mead Papers at the Library of Congress. The projects gathered information on immigrants from a wide variety of ethnic groups. The bulk of the files contain reports or edited transcripts of interviews by members of the research groups. Also present are some abstracts of the interviews and minutes from meetings of the research groups. Related materials include a small quantity of correspondence, notes, and material related to testing and analytical procedures.
