Summary:
August Bodler and his wife Katharine emigrated from Lindau, Bavaria, to the United States ca. 1850 with their four children. They settled in the Bergen Hill, New Jersey area. In the late 1850s the family moved to Germania, Potter County, Pennsylvania, where August took up farming. The collection provides a considerable amount of demographic information on the extended family and includes an account book, birth and marriage certificates, and a family genealogy.
