- The organization was incoroporated in 1974 in New York City by Michael Novak and others as a national civil rights committee representing white ethnics. Its goals included the establishment of a white ethnic political caucus and fair representation of white ethnics in education and the media. The committee also supported better relations between black and white ethnics. Its newsletter, A New America (changed to EMPAC! in 1976), was published by Novak and was an influential spokesman for the new ethnicity during the mid 1970s. The collection consists of correspondence and editorial files, reference and research materials, membership records, and a dues book. In English. Inventory available. Use restricted.
