"In 1973 it was the privilege of many persons to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the settlement German "Palatines" made along the Tulpehocken Creek in western Berks County, Pennsylvania. Attention was focused then on the rich genealogical resources for the early families of this settlement and on the fact that thousands of Americans can trace their ancestry to this community. One of these rich resources is the register of baptisms at Altalaha Church in Rehrersburg on the northern side of the settlement. A new translation was made, from a microfilm, of the early years of these records and has been typed by Marolyn N. Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio, and indexed by Annette K. Burget, Worthington, Ohio" --From introduction.
