- The papers represent 5 generations of Logans and consist chiefly of correspondence, ledgers, and account, receipt, and day books of James Logan (1674-1751), and the correspondence of William Logan (1718-1776), the George Logan (1753-1821) generation, the Albanus Charles Logan (1783-1854) generation, and the Gustavus George Logan (1815-1876) generation. Stenton was the Logan home established near Germantown (Philadelphia, Pa.) by James Logan, in 1728.
