"This book is one of an edition limited to 150 copies. The type face is Romanée, hand-set; the paper is all-rag Rives from France, printed damp on an Acorn handpress. Initials and decorations were engraved by Mallette Dean. Designed, printed & bound in a Fortuny print by Lewis & Dorothy Allen."--Colophon.
"Binding, boards; acetate jacket. Title in red; with purple, blue, light green, yellow, sage green and black. The initials and decorations hand-colored throughout by Dorothy Allen ... Mallette Dean ... engraved seven large exquisite initials, some floral decorations, and a full page floral piece to embrace the two vertical columns of type on the title-page. all were beautifully illuminated in four or five colors. Left page margins carry the title; right page margins the name of the story--both in red, as are the folios."--Allen Press.
Deckled edges, untrimmed. Red endpapers. Paper spine label printed in red with title.
