Summary:
Cynthia recalls several past traumatic experiences, including the physical abuse from her mother and father when she was a child, an incident where she was almost stabbed, and several instances of unwanted sexual contact. Most recently, Cynthia’s friend overdosed in front of her. Cynthia called 911 but the paramedics could not save her. Cynthia has nightmares and flashbacks, but self medicates to help avoid these strong emotions. Cynthia admits that one time when she felt particularly upset about her friend’s death, she mixed wine and oxys, passed out, and later woke up in the hospital.
